Hi-Stor has participated in Presto space: a leading initiative to digitalize European A/V assets and in SIVSS: A performance breakthrough in scalable video servers. Hi-Stor has also been a key player at developing new archiving technologies in the broadcast industry for rich content storage. These projects involved key industry players such as Thomson Broadcast and Xyratex, leading broadcasters such as BBC and RAI, and major programs archivists such as INA.

The R&D & Advanced Research teams, with their highly skilled PhDs, recognized experts in data storage industry, have built solid relationships with the major data storage industry players in the past decade. Thanks to these partnerships, Hi-Stor has acquired experience and extensive expertise in designing innovative software solutions for solving enterprise customers’ key issues in data storage management.

Hi-Stor has been a key R&D partner of Quantum, helping them develop SDLT600A technology, a tape drive supporting MXF and improving video production storage and retrieval. This technology has received several awards at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in the US and International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Europe.
